Brett was awesome! He came right out on a Sunday evening to assess the issues we were experiencing with our air conditioning unit. He fixed our problem right away. And once in our crawl space,  he also noticed a plumbing leak we had no idea was going on. Thank god he was so thorough and found this issue before it became detrimental to the condition of our home! As a contractor myself I’m very picky about who services our HVAC units and being new to Gallatin I had not found a provider here yet. So when our AC died on a Saturday I did some research and reached out to Pettit Heating and Cooling and I was super pleased with the 2 hour arrival, the subscription program they offer and Logan was awesome at explaining our options. I use Petitt Heating and Air for several reasons.
First, Mr. Pettit replaced my heating and air unit 5 years ago. The unit did what Pettit said it would do. Keeping my home at a comfortable temperature year around. The unit pulls the moisture out and it has saved me on my electric bill by the unit not running near as much as my old one did.
Second, Pettit heating and air has services my unit twice a year. They care so much about the customer, they placed a surge device on our unit in case of lightning, or a power surge. We lose power a lot in my neighborhood and it was the right investment and made sense. I would have never thought about having one put on.
Mr Pettit can out to my home when the temperature was below freezing after midnight to replace the unit thermostat that had froze due to the freezing rain a couple years ago. He didn’t charge me a dime due to the unit warranty. The warranty was for parts, not the labor.
And last, Pettit heat and air basic semi annual service agreement plan is well worth the money. The go the extra mile by addressing a potential issue, and has taking care of the issue even though it is really not included in the basic service and cleaning plan.

Petitt Heating & Cooling has been keeping the old system going for a while.  My husband and I showed up at my parents house, found out that heat pump-wasn’t working. Called Petitt Heating and cooling first thing on Saturday morning. They had a technician out right away  Once he did the inspection, the old unit had taken a surge of electricity from the storms and fried the electrical board and thermostat. He told us we are lucky the house didn’t catch fire. Our only option was to go with a new unit. He called Mike Petitt and he was at our house within an 1 hour.
We went over our options, picked the unit that would work for the house. He could have installed it that afternoon, but asked if we could delay until Sunday morning.  We had no problem with that. Mike, Chad, Jacob, Nathan and John Michael were at our house at 7:45am Sunday morning. They worked really well together. They were friendly and very helpful in explaining what they were doing. We had a new unit installed within 4 1/2 hours. Runs well efficient than the older machine and it is very quiet. They cleaned up around the area of installation of the new unit. I would highly recommend Petitt HVAC. They do customer service right!
